In Ohio, passenger vehicles are only required to display a rear plate (since July 1, 2020). Plates must be securely mounted and fully visible — no part of the numbers, state name, or registration stickers can be covered. Ohio places its registration tags in the bottom corners, which means drivers should use license plate frames with cut-outs to keep the stickers visible and stay compliant.
