how do i get a plate under a preinstalled frame?

I bought a Honda Goldwing trike with a Roadsmith rearend kit already installed. The license plate frame is already installed on the trunk lid, how do I get the license plate inside the frame? the frame seems stuck on the trunk lid even after I loosened the screws.

The exact procedure depends on the type of frame installed on your motorcycle. In most cases, the frame is either held together with additional screws or clips, or it may be attached to the trunk lid using double-sided adhesive tape.
