National Defense Service Medal (NDSM) – Given to all U.S. service members who served during a designated wartime period, including the Vietnam War. Its ribbon is red with yellow edges and a blue and white center.

Vietnam Service Medal (VSM) – Awarded to U.S. military personnel who served in Vietnam between 1965 and 1973. It features a yellow background with red stripes, symbolizing South Vietnam.

Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal – Issued by the South Vietnamese government to those who served at least six months in-country or participated in certain operations. It has a green and white ribbon with a gold star.
